Senior!

On the same day I shot the previous post, I also shot a Senior session. It was a big day for me, and I loved every minute!

Engaged!

Monday night I got to do something really fun and unique for me...an engagement session! I love to photograph couples and it's such a nice change from yelling at toddlers! This adorable couple is so beautiful and were so much fun to take pictures of.  They were total naturals in front of the camera and it's clear from these pictures how much they love each other.  I loved being able to capture that for them.  Enjoy these!

This months I heart faces challenge is Love. I decided to submit this one of my kids. I just love them, and the love that they share for each other!

 

Baby Owen

I love it when I get to reconnect with people from my past.  Ashley grew up in the same little town that I did.  I haven't seen her for almost 10 years.  Yep... I'm getting old :) I was so excited when she contacted me to do her newborn session.   We actually shot this session in my home, and then went outdoors for some shots as well. It was really fun and I love how they turned out. Meet cute baby Owen!

New Beginnings

It's blog circle time again!   This month's theme was "New Beginnings".  This year I've set a lot of goals and resolutions for myself in photography.  One of them being a HUGE project called a 365.  It's a personal project in which I take a photo a day, every day, for an entire year.  I really think that by pushing myself to shoot daily I will really grow artistically this year.  So what better way to showcase New Beginnings, by showing you all the first month of my 365?

I've had good days and bad days, but over all it's been a lot of fun.  Here's to a new and wonderful year!

Newborn love

I've always loved taking pictures of newborns, but they are quickly becoming my favorite type of session!  I love squishy little babies, and I love to capture these first moments.  I especially love incorporating the family into the pictures.  These are moments you never get back and it's so important to preserve them.  I stayed out of pictures when I had my babies, and I regret that so much!
